John- Thanks for your helpful reply. Perhaps I’m working from some false (or misunderstood) information but I seem to recall that Windows-10 can be configured to emulate (maybe the wrong word) a Windows-7 environment. So, my intent was to link the new Win-10 box to my current Win-7 box and transfer the programs and data. You are recommending that I install Win-10 in my current computer prior to this transfer. Must I take this additional step (at some minor cost)? Or, once I install Win-10 on my current computer can I revert it to a Win-7 environment and my current programs will run OK. Your thoughts?
