Hello Moriteflyer,
Sounds like you may have an issue with your sound mixer if you are using a windows computer, right click on the audio icon next to your time and left click mixer. You may have the volume for your web browser turned down.
Alternatively you could pickup some external speakers with a volume knob such as this or even an amplifier such as this.
