Android user with Verizon carrier can’t send text to iPhone user with AT&T carrier. Verizon has narrowed it down to AT&T problem. I can receive messages from iPhone user but can’t respond….message is “not sent tap to try again”. iPhone user has 2 other people with same problem. We have been to Verizon and AT&T to try to resolve.

Hello Jackie,

Your best bet might be to take your phone to an apple store for assistance.

Please make sure your phone is up to date, the do the following to make sure you haven’t accidentally blocked your friend.

“To unblock a phone number, contact, or email address, swipe left over the entry, then tap Unblock.” Have a look at the ‘Manage your blocked phone numbers, contacts, and emails’ section of the link we posted previously for more information.

Are you able to text any other contacts that are using the same carrier as your friend?

I have been on the phone with Apple care….they say that it’s a SMS issue with Cartier. No blocked contacts. My android user friend is able to text other iPhone users on AT&T but she can’t text me. So is it my phone?
