Tagged: delete google account, Desktop mode
Good afternoon
I have 2 email accounts on my iPhone 7 & 8 Gen iPad-iCloud Mail & Gmail.I recently received an email from Google asking me to do a Privacy & Security check on a Mac which I don’t own.
This raises a red flag in my mind & I did a search on Kim’s site on deleting my Google account & found I need a Desktop which I don’t have.Is there a workaround for people like me? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Andy
Hello Sassy140,
Depending on the web browser you are using on your tablet, you can enable desktop mode.
Chrome Browser: Open the Chrome app and tap the three dots in the top-right corner. When you do this, a menu will pop up. Here, you will see the button “Desktop site” — tap on this to turn on desktop browsing. When you do this, it will make the website load like the desktop version.
Safari Browser: Open the Safari browser and navigate to any website.
Once the website loads, click the “aA” icon available in the top corner positioned before the address bar. It opens the website view menu.
From the available options, choose the “Request Desktop Website” option.
After doing so you can do the following:
Go to myaccount.google.com.
At the left, click Data and personalization.
Scroll to “Download, delete, or make a plan for your data.”
Click Delete a service or your account.
Click Delete your account.
Hi,Kohn.
I wanted to thank you for your help.
