When connected to Bluetooth speakers, notification sounds do not play even with sound and ringer volume on. Anyone else notice this? I feel like this issue has been around since the iPhone 12 was released. Bluetooth earbuds – notification sound works fine.

    Hello Nicole,

Which iPhone are you using, and what version of IOS is installed?

Press the Menu button multiple times until the main menu appears.
Scroll to and select Settings > About.
The software version of your device should appear on this screen.

iPhone 11, iOS 16.1. I forget to specify that the issue is with text messages notifications. Others in my family have the same issue as well. As I mentioned above I have noticed this issue with previous iOS versions. Sound is toggled on physically and in all areas of notification.

    Hello Nicole,

Sorry for the late response, it looks like you have to enable notifications while using some apps. If you tap or click here for more info, I think it will lead you to a resolution.

I checked those settings too John. All sound settings are on and everything comes through fine with Bluetooth earbuds. Bluetooth speakers, no text message notifications sound.
