Universal Remote Question
I have an older Onkyo receiver (has digital input/output? though) and I bought a universal remote for the TV DVD and receiver, but I can’t get it to read the Onkyo. Am I going to have to purchase an Onkyo replacement remote? Or am I just doing something wrong in connecting the remote? It’s a GE remote and it works fine with the Samsung TV and DVD Blueray player.

What is the model of the remote and of the receiver. Without this information I can’t help much.
