Hi John. So my microphone uses: 3.5MM headphone jack in front of computer. I was going through all the sound controls i could find and noticed that when i reboot my computer, the INPUT defaults to the Microphone which is good and then works! However, when i unplug the microphone from the jack and put it back in, the input switches to ‘Stereo Mix (realtek audio)’ and doesn’t give me any options to switch it back. Then the microphone obviously won’t work. So i have to reboot again to get microphone back (thank God it’s the default)….
What could cause that? Thanks for any help.
