This sounds like you may have a saved password in your web browser, I would start off troubleshooting by resetting your password again from a new web browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox
Once you are logged in to your Yahoo account, do not save your password in your web browser. Close the browser and attempt logging in again, if you are successful then now you can save your password in the browser if you please.
If that is successful, then you will need to clear out old saved passwords form your original web browser, if you let me know what that is I can direct you on clearing the old saved password.
