Someone managed to get my credentials and tapped into my Iphone apparently He managed to change my Name and password to his. So he was able to change my passwords to his. Made charges to my doordash account and putting bogus charges from my attached accounts. Then to make a long story short He has sent a black mail letter to me from me. He wants $500 or he will release the photos he claimed he has been taking through my PC camera among other things. As far as the photos all he can have is a messy living room and me petting my dog so have at it.
What do I do Changed all passwords changed credit cards, Call tech support money was returned .
Not really comfortable that I have done everything needed to stop him/her
Is their away of finding who sent the blackmail letter. I think he needs to be stopped of course he has made threats if I get the law involved. Don’t care that is exactly what I attend to do. Any advice on how to deal with this mess would be greatly appreciated. Can he really go through with his threats. He is still trying to get my passwords but so far I do have him blocked. This is on my phone and PC. Kill the cancer before it grows!

Gordon I would like to help but want to get some more information from you.

How has this person been in contact with you, phone, email, text?
Were the passwords used for doordash and apple unique and strong before you changed them?
Were any of your passwords or credit cards saved on your phone or pc in plain text?
Did they show you any proof of photos?

He contacted me with E male sent from myself.
I don’t think the PW were very strong.
I really don’t know if they were in plain text.
Their are no photos to use for proof of. At best he could have pictures of me sitting on the couch petting my dog. So that threat is completely bogus
I can forward the email I think
Door dash still is sending me emails addressed to wang fu with to my email
Thanks for your help If you would like to see his email just let me know where to send it

Thanks Gordon, here is what we recommend.

      1. Reset all of your passwords to unique long passwords, a password manager is preferred to help remember them.
      2. While in these accounts labeled with weird things like wang fu, go reset your name and info.
      3. Back up and reset your iPhone to get rid of any trace if it was infected. Make sure it is updated to the latest version.

This should lock them out, if they continue to send emails, you can safely ignore them. You can also report them to the FBI Cyber Crime
