Not sure this is within the scope of Komando Forum, but here goes: I went to book a week’s stay at a resort in Puerto Rico. First time in my 25+ years of traveling that the online booking procedure required that I send a photo, front and back, of my driver’s license. Never been asked that before. This on top of asking me to provide all credit card info AND to print out the form they emailed me which required an actual personal signature (“hand signed” they requested), which they expected me to sign, take a picture of, and also email that along with my driver’s license.

Is this over the top security measures for a hotel? They are well known as far as I can see from TripAdvisor etc and sources. But I declined to stay with them because i felt they were asking for TOO much personal info.
