I’m hoping somebody can help me. My Grandmother, who is 101 years old, has a Samsung J phone that died. I’m her grandson and I’m trying to help her. I gave her an S10 and set it up for her, but apparently my aunt, who she lives with, didn’t sign her phone into a Google account and therefore wasn’t synchronized. She lost her contacts and her pictures, which were many. Between me and my Aunt, we were able to import most of her contacts, but my Grandmother is very upset about losing her pictures. Please give me some ideas of how I can recover her photo’s. The phone will not fire up at all. And yes, it is charged, but with no indication.

      Hello hodeit,

How were you able to import the contacts? and what kind of damage caused the phone to no longer power on?

Does grandma have an email address? possibly a Samsung account connected to that email address.

Does the screen indicate it is taking a charge when plugged in? Have you tried another charger?

      Hello hodeit,

If there was no physical damage that caused the Samsung to no longer turn on, take a look at this YouTube video here. Apparently, it is susceptible to a firmware crash when the battery drains.
