I’m having a home networking problem with W11. I have 2 computers, one a desktop connected via ethernet and one a laptop connected via wifi. I can connect to the desktop from the laptop, so that seems to indicate no problem with network or permissions. But trying to connect to the laptop gives me a popup saying Windows can’t access the laptop. Sharing and permissions are the same on both computers. I’ve tried disabling the firewall and antivirus on the desktop but no luck.

Have been to numerous community forums and many searches with Google for this error but also no luck. Any ideas?

      Hello tnt92fox,

Are both workstations using the same user name, with the same password? Also when you right-click a folder and go to properties, then navigate to the security tab, do you have the file access permissions set for the opposing computer user?
