I’m in Texas. I just spoke with a friend, who does titles, when people buy and sell homes. He said that there are protections in Texas that would not allow someone to come and take your title and your home. I would check with your state and county, or ask a real estate pro, in your area. Bottom line: I do not see the need for Title lock? My friend believes that the TV ads are scare tactics.
