We own homes in GA and NM, and split our time between the two. In GA we have Comcast for Internet and TV. In New Mexico we have Century Link for Internet and Direct TV for TV. All total we are spending $600 a month. I am looking for a way that I can decrease this cost, and hopefully have the same accounts in both homes.

    Hi William,

    I hear you on this.

For my home in Maui, Spectrum offers “vacation mode.” Instead of paying the monthly access fee, I pay $15 connection fee for the time that I am not there.

Comcast calls it their Seasonal Convenience Plan. It costs between $8 and $30/mo.
    – Keep your Xfinity equipment in your home
    – Keep your home phone number
    – Keep your Comcast.net email address and access it anywhere with an email only Internet connection or upgrade to the Seasonal Internet Access connection to enable you to control home smart devices remotely.
    – No changes of service can take place while your account is enrolled in the Seasonal Convenience Plan

Keep the lower internet plan to keep your Security Camera and Wi-Fi Thermostat running while putting your TV / Phone service on hold. This service will resume once you are returning back to your vacation home.

I’m sure Century link offers a similar plan, too.

    Hope this helps!
