Two programs that turn old photos into engaging videos
Ruth from Hyde Park, New York is planning a reunion for her high school’s graduating class. She wants to make a slideshow with photos from previous reunions, but isn’t sure which program to use. I told her slideshows are out and videos are in. Luckily, videos are easy to make; just edit them frame by frame and add music.
You can do this with the Cyberlink PowerDirector 19 Ultra, a $100 program that offers a huge range of ready-made templates with effects, titles and transitions. You can create videos instantly and avoid the learning curve that most people go through when they start to edit videos. Plus, you can wow your former classmates with cinematic effects and all sorts of pro-level tools like green screen editing and motion tracking.
I also recommend Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021 & Premiere Elements 2021. Its intelligent design lets you easily transform your photos into eye-catching videos. You can restore old photos, lay text over pictures, add animations and more.
