Another thing you can do is test your current Hard Disk Drive using a tool from https://www.hdtune.com
Once you get the app installed make sure your OS disk is selected from the dropdown menu then click on the tab with the red + if you see anything critical or warning you will need to send your laptop in for warranty replacement of the Disk.
Otherwise upgrading to an SSD just might be the fix you are looking for, another solution might be to perform a reset of the Windows operating system.
