Michael from Memphis, Tennessee loves going down research rabbit holes. Unfortunately, this means he often loses his starting points. He asked me if there is an easy way to get back to the beginning of a news page. Currently, he constantly clicks the back arrows and goes back one page at a time. He’s looking for a quick shortcut.

Luckily, I have just the tip for him. I told Michael to configure Safari to open links in a new tab. This way, he can always have his starting page open in its own tab.

    1. Open iPhone Settings and select Safari.
    2. Under Tabs, pick Open Links.
    3. Choose In Background.

When you’re researching on your Mac or PC, it’s easier. Press Option(⌥) + Command(⌘) + W. This will close all the other tabs on your Safari browser.
