App to turn on phone light in morning for an alarm?
Is there a reliable iphone app or a shortcut configuration that can turn on my phone’s light at a specific time in the morning, as an alarm? I’ve downloaded several different “Sunrise alarms” but they keep the phone awake all night and burn the battery up. I don’t need anything fancy, not even sound. I just want my phone’s light to turn on at a specific time.

Such a great question. If this is for home I may have a better solution than using the light on your phone. Instead creating a routine that gradually turns on a smart light bulb.
If you let me know if you are using an Android or an Apple phone I can find you an app that works along with setting up a smart light if you go that route.

I have an iPhone. I’m definitely open to setting up a routine that turns on a smart light bulb. I don’t have any home-automation set up now (besides Nexia thermostat and Ring security), so I’m open to whatever home apps I need to do this. Thanks!
