How to read stories to your grandkids, even when you’re far away
Annette from Greenville, South Carolina wants to film herself reading bedtime stories for her granddaughters, who live far away. Basically, she wants to start a “Story of the Week” project in which she or her husband records a seven-minute story. Annette wants to send the file to her daughter so she can just press a button and play the video for the children.
I advised her to set up a reading corner in her house. She should record the videos in the same spot all the time. She’ll need a tripod for her phone, as well as lights. Here’s an affordable setup.
There are also a few games she can play with the kids online, like Roblox, Mario Kart Tour and Let’s Play Uno. When you can’t play together in person, online games are a great alternative.
