Recently purchased a new wireless Lenovo Idea Centre AIO3 24 IMB05 PC, Intel Core i5 SSD with Windows 10. My monitor randomly goes half way dark and can’t figure out what triggers this action. It’s very annoying to say the least. If anyone in cyberland has any idea why this is happening and how to correct it, I sure would appreciate your help.
It may very well be a setting on your laptop that is trying to conserve battery life. Click or tap here to see how to adjust screen brightness in Windows 10.
Additionally you laptop may have a hotkey built-in, tap or click here to see more.
Thank you John for your response. However, you made reference to a LAPTOP, but I have an All in One desktop. Would your suggestion apply to a desktop? Although, because it’s wireless, it may have something to do with the power supply issue as well. I’m conservative when it comes to resources like brightness, etc.
As a note, this morning I couldn’t get the PC to load from a shut down status, but the power came on. What I did was unplug the power USB, got my compressed air can, sprayed to clean inside and voila, the PC started. By the way, this computer is only a month old! Now I’m waiting to see when my monitor will go partially black. If it continues, this PC will be returned!
