Texting
Android user (Verizon) can’t text iPhone user ( AT&T) 4-6 weeks ago. Both carriers says it’s the other carriers issue.

Are either of you able to message other? People on similar similar carriers? Or is it an isolated issue only between you too?

Yes, iPhone user can text android but android can’t text iPhone user. We are able to call each other also. Other android users can text iPhone users. Still ongoing since April.

Isolated issue. I can receive iPhone messages but I can’t send anything to iPhone.

It is just this one friend that I can’t receive messages from. I can send messages from other iPhone users. I can also receive messages from said iPhone user but I can’t reply or initiate a text.

Please make sure your phone is up to date, the do the following to make sure you haven’t accidentally blocked your friend.
“To unblock a phone number, contact, or email address, swipe left over the entry, then tap Unblock.” Have a look at the ‘Manage your blocked phone numbers, contacts, and emails’ section of the link we posted previously for more information.

Are you able to text any other contacts that are using the same carrier as your friend? -
All settings have been checked by both providers. We have been on the phone many hours with AT&T including many levels of technical support.
